Documenting your life and your memories is part of your legacy. Quality photography certainly is an investment, but when the memories are faded, the pictures will still be there to tell your story, and that’s priceless. When you’re sitting in your cozy living room years from now reminiscing about your time in Germany, looking at them is going to bring all those emotions you felt - laughing and having fun with your partner or family in the mountains - right back into your living room. They allow you to relive those feelings. It’s such a sentimental feeling when children ask to see pictures of themselves when they were younger, and there’s a study by Penn State that explains the phenomenon of belonging that children experience when looking at pictures. I think this applies to all humans, we naturally look for ourselves when we see a picture of an event or moment we were present for.

In today’s fast-paced environment it’s so crucial to slow down and focus on what’s most important to us - our relationships. We’re always snapping away on our phones, but it’s just so much more special to enjoy yourself and focus on the moment while someone else is capturing your memories for you!

My sessions are for couples and families that want to capture their adventures in the stunning beauty of the German Alps. Whether it’s a session at Eibsee that ends with a water fight or hike to a waterfall - the locations here are one of a kind, and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to spend the last 2.5 years exploring and scouting them.

I take pride in putting parents at ease during family sessions. When I meet you for your session after you just spent a chaotic time getting everyone ready and pleading with your children to not jump into a puddle of dirt within the first five minutes (I save that for the end ;) ), I take over for you. Patience, understanding, and creating a fun environment are key for a carefree time that your children will look back at with joy and think “That was fun!” My background in education and experience in working with children for over two decades now have taught me invaluable lessons that I apply every day, and I truly believe families I’ve worked with can tell how passionate I am about this aspect of my business.

FAQ

  • It’s best to book about 2-3 months in advance.

  • No! In five years I’ve figured out some tricks to make sessions fun for the littles, and my focus is more on the emotive and documentary aspect anyways. I make time for kids to explore and play and the sales will come naturally.

  • Yes! Dogs are welcome to all sessions.

  • I stay on top of the forecast and adjust our session time if needed. A little drizzle won’t stop me from shooting, but in the event of constant rain and no possibility to reschedule, your deposit will be refunded.
